Karen Stintz was elected Councillor for Ward 16 on November 10th 2003. She was recently re-elected to Toronto City Council on November 13th, 2006. Karen was born and raised in Toronto and is a proud resident of Ward 16.

Karen, her husband Darryl, son Jackson and daughter Hailey have lived in the community for several years. They chose the area because of its reputation for having great schools and a strong sense of community."

Before being elected as City Councillor, Karen had over seven years of experience working in the public and private sector, managing and delivering multi-million dollar programs in the health care sector. She has earned a reputation for delivering results on time and on budget, while successfully managing stakeholder relationships.

Karen graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Ontario and a Master's of Science in Journalism from Boston University. She also has a Master's of Public Administration from Queen's University.

Karen spends her free time reading, playing piano and tennis. Karen is honoured to be your Ward 16 Councillor and intends to work hard to maintain your trust and friendship.
